Garrett West
About
Garrett has been married to his best friend, Ashley, since 2019, and God has blessed them with two young boys, Winston and Watson. Garrett serves as the Associate Pastor and an Elder at Grace Life Austin Bible Church. Garrett and Ashley originally met as teenagers at a church plant in the Midwest. It was there that the Lord saved Garrett through the preaching of the Gospel and ultimately called him to pastoral ministry. Having grown up and been saved in a church plant, Garrett experienced firsthand the blessing of churches being faithful to plant other churches.
In 2021, with the affirmation of his church's elders, Garrett left the church where he was saved and serving to pursue formal training at The Master's Seminary in Los Angeles, California, and graduated in 2025. During his time in seminary, Garrett and Ashley met Julian and Lesley Belk. The two men quickly forged a close friendship, taking nearly every class together, leading a Bible study together, and preaching through the book of Romans together. When Julian shared his desire to plant a church in Austin, Garrett—originally from Texas—was excited to return and join the new work.
Garrett and Ashley deeply love the city and people of Austin, and it is their prayer that God will glorify Himself through the salvation of the lost and the sanctification of believers under the ministry of Grace Life Austin.
